Luxurious Explosion: Louis Vuitton Fall '09

Powerhouse Marc Jacobs really knows how to fashionably say, "Eff the recession"! At his showing (closing Paris Fashion Week), he didn't hold back on luxury. He presented Parisienne fashion at it finest. I'm, especially, loving the embroidered leggings and thigh-high boots. Also, the styling is impeccable, as always. Apparently, Jacobs is the fat lady and now PFW is over. Bisous!

Ciara rockin' YSL Cage Booties

I, definitely, don't consider Ciara a fashionista but she kinda killed it w/ the Yves Saint Laurent Cage booties. Props to her mediorce stylist! Now, if she'd only stop rockin' that ghetto, two-toned weave... Sigh!

Truly Remarkable: Alexander McQueen Fall '09

First of all, we should acknowledge --this is only his ready-to-wear. I don't even think the world is prepared for his haute couture. With these looks, from his fall '09 collection, Alexander McQueen showed why he's "The Artist". He may even be your favorite designer's favorite designer. What a way to murder the competition @ Paris Fashion Week. Love it!

Lusting after Valentino RTW Fall '09

As you can see, the new blood over @ Valentino is banging-out fabulous fashion. Check out my favorite looks from the house's fall rtw '09 showing (during Paris Fashion Week). The collection consisted of a delicious and voluminous fur assortment. They even dared to bring back sheer stockings (not so sure I'm feeling that). Overall, it was one of the best showings during PFW. Mr. Valentino can now rest in retirement bliss. Fierce!

Kanye' & Amber Rose @ YSL

Say what you want about this new couple, but they looked fierce @ the Yves Saint Laurent show, last night. I believe noir is, definitely, the sexiest color. And these two got my memo. Mr. West ditched the wack 'do to don a tux. Amber Rose looks sick in the backless catsuit (notice the stirrups). And of course only a former exotic dancer, could pull off a look like that. You betta work!

Chills @ Chanel

Karl Lagerfeld sent chills down my spine at his showing for Chanel rtw fall '09 (he has that effect on me). In true house fashion, the collection mostly consisted of black and white. But Lagerfeld, also, incorporated splashes of powder pink and apple green (how I do heart that combination...). I'm especially lusting over the deep, low-cut dress. Also, the black sequin suit is too die! Truly, this was yet another fabulous showing for the Chanel archives. Bravo!

Shoe of the Week

Ooh how I heart navy! Check out the Yves Saint Laurent Tribute Platform sandal ($760 via www.bergdorfgoodman.com). Imagine these little ladies paired w/ skinny jeans, a cream cardigan, a Louis Vuitton monogram canvas speedy and lots of gold chains. Love 'em!!!

What's Wrong w/ this Picture???

I'm aware that her body is sick but; this looks a bit unnatural. Here, the Big B is shown (@ her video shoot Sunday), wearing a pair of horse hips under her gown. Maybe there's a concept behind this look, literally. But for now, I'm disturbed. Hated it!

Honorable Mention: Amber Rose

Amber Rose (Kanye's new chick) is killin' the game w/ these vintage Chanel shades. She's seen here @ Paris Fashion Week, looking fierce. Despite her past, I think she's bad! And the shades are on another plateau. Love it!

Bravo to Balmain!

Fashion week has moved to the city of love, Paris. And I, definitely, have some serious admiration for Balmain rtw fall '09. The dynamic house served-up edgy silhouettes. Several looks showcased sharp, pointy shoulders pads and dangerous mini-skirts. I'm also loving the splitted-pants. Notice the mixing of high and low, w/ the pairing of the white tee and rhinestone skirt. Perfection! Stay tuned for more from Paris Fashion Week... Auvoir!

Patricia Field Salutes Stephen Sprouse

Love for the late Stephen Sprouse is spreading rapidly. As previously posted, the house of Louis Vuitton released their Sprouse tribute collection in January. Now reowned fashion stylist, Patricia Field, is launching a salute to the former artist. The items can be purchased via www.patriciafield.com. All items in the collection are priced under $100. Here's an opportunity to pay homage to Sprouse, without breaking the bank @ LV.

Super-Dope Girl Fresh @ Dsquared2 Fall rtw '09

Dean and Dan of Dsquared2 always serve fierce Italian fashion but, they brought out the big guns for fall rtw '09. I admire their ability to create fresh, relevant, edgy garments. In this showing (during Milan fashion week), some of their models walked w/ Starbucks cups, car keys, and cellphones. They wanted to create the illusion of "the morning-after the party". I think, they definitely nailed it!

Dawn rockin' Alexander Wang

Dawn killed it at the "Harlem Heights" premiere in NYC. She's seen here (w/ boo Q of Day 26) rockin' the Alexander Wang cut out sweater. I think she might have effed it up w/ the undershirt. Overall, it was a good look. And of course we heart Mr. Wang.

Fur Fever @ Fendi

Beautiful, black, bold and brash are the words I'd use to describe Karl Lagerfeld's collection for Fendi rtw fall '09. He gave you Fendi fur at its finest. Notice the dress w/ the leather corseted belt. That ish is soooo dope! Also, I'm loving the cropped, sepia-colored chinchilla. Mr. Lagerfeld definitely wowed the crowd @ Milan fashion week. Love it!

Pop Rocks @ Blumarine RTW Fall '09!

Blumarine brought the 80's back, in full force, for fall rtw '09. With Andy Warhol backdrops and neon lights, the Italian fashion house wowed the crowd Saturday. I'm so feeling the rhinestone sling bags, fitted suits, leopard leggings, and studded shoes. This might be one of the hottest showings for Milan's coveted fashion week. Love it!!!
