Summer Wardrobe Inspiration

Spring is in effect and summer is quickly approaching. In need of wardrobe inspiration? I spotted these items on the web and thought "ooh la la". This dress by Single ($280 www.net-a-porter) is totally on trend. I love the one-shoulder and rhinestone belt. Add the Christian Louboutin hyper-prive peep-toe pump in pale gold ($895 via www.bergdorfgoodman.com) and trust you'll be giving life!

Shoe of the Week

Ladies, sometimes we gotta switch it up. Check-out the Fendi graffiti zucca ballerina flat ($395 via www.bergdorfgoodman.com). They're fun & fabulous! Dare to give your archs a rest. Love 'em!

What Not to Wear!

This is just wrong! Jennifer Hudson's stylist is sooooo incompetent and should be fired immediately. J-Hud donned this disastrous ensemble on the Today Show last week. Harem pants are a 'NO!' for anyone over a size 6. H8ted it!

H&M Fall '09 Preview

We love H&M for their reasonable prices and high-style. For fall '09, the retail chain is totally knocking-off Balmain. With the avant-garde blazer and use of texture. I'm feeling the noir lace and snake-print. Overall its a decent collection. Stylistas weigh in!

Chanel Cruise 2010

Thursday, Karl Lagerfeld captivated the city of Venice. He presented the house of Chanel's 2010 Cruise Collection--in the sinking city. The collection was inspired by Mademoiselle Coco Chanel in the 1930's (she lived in Venice for 10 years). The elaborate showing featured a color palette of red, sepia, black and white. I love the lace biker shorts and the intricately-cut halter gown. Hands down, this collection was beautiful. Impressionante'!

New Louis Vuitton Totally Monogram Tote

May 15th marked the launch of Louis Vuitton's e-commerce site. In celebration of the launch, the house introduced a new tote. The Totally Monogram tote is avaiable, exclusively, on www.louisvuitton.com until June 1st. It comes in three sizes. The GM retailing at $1100, the MM at $1000, and the PM at $870. I think its cute, roomy, and reasonably priced. Love it!

Hauteness: Club Cavalli in Dubai

Seeking a new, exotic vacation destination? May I suggest Dubai? The desert deep city is quickly becoming a haute holiday spot. Sexy Italian designer, Roberto Cavalli, opened a nightclub in Dubai last week. Club Cavalli is a 30 million dollar dreamland featuring a boutique and italian restaurant. Dubai is next on my travel wish-list. With music, dancing, cocktails, shopping and good food---what more can a doll ask for? Love it!

Gossip Girl features NoirLace's Shoe of the Week

Apparently the wardrobe stylist of everyone's guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl, reads NoirLace. Today's episode features a throwback from the 80's. As you can see, a young Lily van der Woodsen rockin' the Givenchy cut-out shoe boots (former NoirLace 'shoe of the week'). What more can I say? NL & GG make a haute team. Love it!

Shoe of the Week

This is the definition of sick. Check out the Lanvin metallic cross sandals ($945 via www.net-a-porter.com). I'm lusting over the color contrast of silver leather and gold metal. Also, the cone-shaped heel is stunning. Love 'em!

Kerry Washington Killin' it in J. Mendel

Lately, actress Kerry Washington has been stepping-up her fashion game. Check her out @ the White House Correspondent's dinner (hosted by The Obamas) this weekend. Ms. Washington looked stylish and elegant in this gown by J. Mendel rtw fall '09. I love the intricate pleating and the vibrant color. Mr. Mendel is a magician and Ms. Washington is a vision. Love it!

Naomi Campbell X Versace = Magic

The Runway Queen, Naomi Campbell, was spotted Monday going to the Marc Jacobs post CI Gala party. Naomi made up for her absence by showing up in this uber-sexy dress by Versace rtw fall '09 (previously posted as NoirLace "Honorable Mention"). Moments like this, solidfy her position as my favorite model. Work!

Isn't She Lovely?....

This is super-random but, I had to share. Isn't she lovely? Indeed! Check out the Yves Saint Laurent grey ombre' leather 'Easy' medium bag ($1,516 via www.bluefly.com). I love the grey/purple/fuschia color and the butter-soft Italian leather. This b*tch is fierce!

Christian Siriano X Payless Take 2

As previously posted on NoirLace, designer Christian Siriano will team-up with Payless this fall. The collection has been toned-down, to be more consumer-friendly (preview shown above). What a pity! I was looking forward to the spikes & chains. :-(

Honorable Mention: Teairra Mari

Obviously, Teairra Mari (or her stylist) is a fan of NoirLace. Check her out @ an event in L.A. rockin' this "Doll" approved get-up. She looks sooooo chic in this white short suit, Stephen Sprouse X Louis Vuitton bracelets, neon Christian Louboutins, and oversized LV clutch. Even the china doll hair option (wig), is working. This look is opulent & decadent. She gets a "love it" and a "work"!

The Killer Bey Stings in Balmain

Now this is how it should "bey" done. Check out Beyonce' at the premiere of "Obsessed". I was curious as to what she'd wear to the event. And Mrs. Carter didn't disappoint The Doll w/ this fabulous noir frock from Balmain ready-to-wear fall '09. She couldn't have choosen a more glorious gown. I would've suggested a different shoe but eff it---at least they're Louboutins. Work!

Shoe of the Week

Can you say "sexy"? Check out the Givenchy cutout shoe boots ($785 via www.net-a-porter.com). Fuschia-colored leather and 4.5" never looked so chic. Love 'em!

The Dopeness!

Recently, I've become obsessed w/ searching eBay for vintage Gucci. I stumbled across this super-dope ashtray (currently bidding @ $16.50). I love interior design, so this is totally up my alley. If it doesn't go beyond $40.00, it'll be on my coffee table soon. Wish me luck!

Get Acquainted: Ja'Rie Jewelry

Ja'Rie Jewelry is an eclectic, earthy, and elegant line. Founded in 2007, Caribbean natives Laurie Warner and Janelle Joseph sought-out to create a collection reflecting their beliefs. The dynamic line consists of high-quality metals (sterling, bronze and gold) and genuine stones (garnet, turquoise, amethyst, etc...). And with prices ranging from $20 to $300, there's something to suit all budgets. So fashionistas put Ja'Rie Jewelry on your wish-list; as its sure to be an ever-evolving line.
