Tyra Banks X Andre Leon Talley = An Ode to McQueen

Fashion/entertainment mogul Tyra Banks teamed-up w/ Andre Leon Talley (of Vogue fame) to produce a photo tribute, in honor of the late Alexander McQueen. Banks stated via her website "McQueen was considered royalty in the fashion community." This spread is very regal & very McQueen. I believe, he'd be proud. R.I.P. McQueen!

The late, great Alexander McQueen is still bringing the heat. Here's a sneak peek @ his fall/winter 2010 handbag & footwear collection. These pieces are amazing---to say the least. I'm especially in love w/ the gold, beaded shoes. Also, the mocha leather bag is insane. Everything is opulent & unique, as only McQueen could do it. I gotta have a piece. Love it!

When Alexander McQueen died, the fashion world lost an amazing artist. Although McQ is gone, his vision remains. Check out the geometric leather pumps ($810 via www.net-a-porter.com). This 80's-inspired shoe showcases the dynamic design ability McQueen possessed. I'm crazy about the yellow & noir contrasting colors. Also, the luxe leather adds a ton of flair. "Lee" was a divine genius & had execution skills unlike no other. Clearly, there will never be another like Alexander. Love him!

R.I.P. Alexander McQueen

Today the fashion world was rocked by a devastating loss. Iconic designer Alexander McQueen died today in London. Allegedly, McQ committed suicide by hanging himself. Nicknamed "Lee" by friends, McQueen was an artistic giant. He was a true innovator & one my favorite designers. He will be deeply missed. Rest in peace!

She's looking futuristically-fierce, in head-to-toe McQueen. I must say, the decision to walk in those shoes was ambitious. Daphne definitely pulled it off. Work!

O, how I admire Alexander McQueen's artistic ability. Not only does he have a dynamic point-of-view but---the ability to execute his ideas flawlessly. As formerly posted, McQueen's rtw spring 2010 show was all about the shoes. It was shoe insanity @ its finest. Personally, I wouldn't dare but they're beautiful nonetheless. Love 'em!

Alexander McQueen is amazing! After my much anticipation, I finally viewed his rtw spring 2010 collection---and I'm in love! Each garment was, truly, a work of art. The show was all about the extremely-high shoes (can't believe no one took a tumble). This collection illustrated McQueen's futuristic sensibility. If the future is this chic, I'm looking for a time machine. Work!

Always enticing the eye with a new silhouette, Alexander McQueen is the king of fantasy fashion. Check out my favorite looks from his Resort 2010 collection. I'm soooooo loving the geometric patterns. The leggings are insane and the yellow/noir a-line dress is perfection. McQueen appears to be constantly inspired. And through his work, he's always an inspiration to me. Love it!

Truly Remarkable: Alexander McQueen Fall '09

First of all, we should acknowledge --this is only his ready-to-wear. I don't even think the world is prepared for his haute couture. With these looks, from his fall '09 collection, Alexander McQueen showed why he's "The Artist". He may even be your favorite designer's favorite designer. What a way to murder the competition @ Paris Fashion Week. Love it!

Honorable Mention from Pre-Fall '09

After critics shunned his last colllection, Alexander McQueen is showing promise of redemption for Pre-Fall '09. I love this aubergine color and his styling is magnificent, as usual. Mr. McQueen is, as always, a true showman.
