Frida Giannini always serves-up effortless sexy chic. And she didn't disappoint with Gucci's 2010 Cruise Collection. Navy, noir, and white were the only colors featured in the collection. I love the noir gown w/ the super-sexy split. And the strappy platforms are sick! This was, indeed, a dynamic showing for the House of Gucci. Love it!

Target has tapped Carlos Falchi for its next designer handbag collection. The Brazilian accessories beast, Falchi, has gained a lot of notoriety with his use of exotic skins. The collaboration will feature bags made of faux snakeskin and is set to launch Oct. 11th. Will you cop? Fashionistas ring in!
I spotted this via www.sanrio.com and had to share. Check out the Hello Kitty black diamond silhouette necklace ($400). Designed by Kimora Lee Simmons, this cutie features rhodium, diamonds, and rubies. Its soooo pretty & opulent. Love it!

The economic recession has taken another victim. French fashion house, Christian Lacroix, announced its filing for bankruptcy today. Established in 1989, the luxury brand operated independently. And with the recent lack in luxury good revenue, CL was unable to stay afloat. The house had one of the most dynamic showings; during this year's Paris Haute Couture shows (check it NoirLace's post "Killa Kill @ Lacroix"). It's truly a sad day, in the world of fashion. :-(

This complete look is nothing short of amazing. Check out Kerry Washington @ the Cannes Film Festival in a gown from Zuhair Murad's spring '09 collection. The gown is breathtaking! Her hair/make-up/jewelry ensemble compliments the gown to perfection. This look is truly stunning! Love it X 20!

Rihanna is becoming more fierce by the day. Talking about stepping up your game. She was spotted this weekend shopping @ Intermix in Soho. The trench/dress is fabulous w/ the noir boots. Also, I'm lusting over the alligator necklace (that ish is sick!). Ri Ri is killing the game right now. Ciara take notes! Work!
Happy Memorial Day NoirLace readers! And as always, I bring you a celebration of fabulous & fantasy fashion. Check out some haute bags from the Marc Jacobs spring/summer '09 collection. The Runway Clutch (top, $795 via www.eluxury.com) and the Iconic Glitter Bag-on-Bag Duffy (bottom $2,450 via www.eluxury.com). Today we salute the veteran's and MJ!
One can always count on Gucci, to serve-up bold glamour. Check out the horsebit clog slides ($510 via www.gucci.com). I love the light gold guccissima leather contrasting w/ the wood. These are definitely a good look for summer. Love 'em!

Do you love your best friend enough to drop $1,390? If so, check out the Gucci icon split heart necklace (www.gucci.com). I stopped believing in B.F.F.'s a long time ago but, if someone presented me w/ this---I'd reconsider, lol! Love it!
Dawn Richard, of the newly formed group Dirty Money, has exquisite taste in footwear (or blogs). She's seen here, via TwitPic, holding the Christian Louboutin peep-toe fringe boots (former NoirLace 'Shoe of the Week'). That MTV money must be pretty effing nice. Work!

This is insane on so many levels. Check out this fabulous bag from the house of Chanel's Fall '09 Paris-Moscow collection ($2,795 only available by special order). I love the intregration of the Moscow skyline into the lambskin. Also, the twisted logo hardware is to die! Absolute hauteness!

In September, Bravo! is set to debut a new fashion reality show. The show, titled "Launch My Line", will be hosted by twin designers Dean and Dan Caten of DSquared2. The series will feature celebrities competing against each other, in effort to launch a clothing line. Each celeb will be paired w/ an established designer, to assist in creating the fashion. I'm thrilled about this up & coming series. Hopefully, it will redeem Bravo! from the travesty that is "Fashion Show" (h8ted it!).

Fashion Show host, Kelly Rowland, was spotted leaving Mr. Chow's in L.A. today. As you can see she's rockin' the YSL Tribute platform sandals (former NoirLace "Shoe of the Week"). Ms. Rowland may not be a fashion authority (apparently I missed that memo) but, she has great taste in shoes (or blogs, LOL!). Work!
Nothing exceeds like excess. Today, the NY Post reported that Victoria Beckham owns over 100 Hermes Birkin bags, valued @ $2 million dollars. The Birkin has been considered a 'status symbol' since Samantha dropped Lucy Liu's name to cop one on Sex & the City. Mrs. Beckham is, indeed, a fashion icon. And with this impressive collection, she's simply makes other fashionistas look like pretenders. Work!

Spring is in effect and summer is quickly approaching. In need of wardrobe inspiration? I spotted these items on the web and thought "ooh la la". This dress by Single ($280 www.net-a-porter) is totally on trend. I love the one-shoulder and rhinestone belt. Add the Christian Louboutin hyper-prive peep-toe pump in pale gold ($895 via www.bergdorfgoodman.com) and trust you'll be giving life!

This is just wrong! Jennifer Hudson's stylist is sooooo incompetent and should be fired immediately. J-Hud donned this disastrous ensemble on the Today Show last week. Harem pants are a 'NO!' for anyone over a size 6. H8ted it!
We love H&M for their reasonable prices and high-style. For fall '09, the retail chain is totally knocking-off Balmain. With the avant-garde blazer and use of texture. I'm feeling the noir lace and snake-print. Overall its a decent collection. Stylistas weigh in!
Thursday, Karl Lagerfeld captivated the city of Venice. He presented the house of Chanel's 2010 Cruise Collection--in the sinking city. The collection was inspired by Mademoiselle Coco Chanel in the 1930's (she lived in Venice for 10 years). The elaborate showing featured a color palette of red, sepia, black and white. I love the lace biker shorts and the intricately-cut halter gown. Hands down, this collection was beautiful. Impressionante'!
May 15th marked the launch of Louis Vuitton's e-commerce site. In celebration of the launch, the house introduced a new tote. The Totally Monogram tote is avaiable, exclusively, on www.louisvuitton.com until June 1st. It comes in three sizes. The GM retailing at $1100, the MM at $1000, and the PM at $870. I think its cute, roomy, and reasonably priced. Love it!

Seeking a new, exotic vacation destination? May I suggest Dubai? The desert deep city is quickly becoming a haute holiday spot. Sexy Italian designer, Roberto Cavalli, opened a nightclub in Dubai last week. Club Cavalli is a 30 million dollar dreamland featuring a boutique and italian restaurant. Dubai is next on my travel wish-list. With music, dancing, cocktails, shopping and good food---what more can a doll ask for? Love it!

Apparently the wardrobe stylist of everyone's guilty pleasure, Gossip Girl, reads NoirLace. Today's episode features a throwback from the 80's. As you can see, a young Lily van der Woodsen rockin' the Givenchy cut-out shoe boots (former NoirLace 'shoe of the week'). What more can I say? NL & GG make a haute team. Love it!
This is the definition of sick. Check out the Lanvin metallic cross sandals ($945 via www.net-a-porter.com). I'm lusting over the color contrast of silver leather and gold metal. Also, the cone-shaped heel is stunning. Love 'em!

Lately, actress Kerry Washington has been stepping-up her fashion game. Check her out @ the White House Correspondent's dinner (hosted by The Obamas) this weekend. Ms. Washington looked stylish and elegant in this gown by J. Mendel rtw fall '09. I love the intricate pleating and the vibrant color. Mr. Mendel is a magician and Ms. Washington is a vision. Love it!
